Pratt Institute is committed to providing our student-athletes with the best possible experience and along with that comes a dedication to excellence in the area of rules compliance. A commitment to a thorough understanding of institution, conference and NCAA rules by department staff with complete adherence to those policies and procedures is the standard that we strive for. This area of our website has been created to provide our student-athletes, coaches, prospective student-athletes, parents, fans and alumni some basic information about rules compliance. We subscribe to the NCAA mantra "ALWAYS ASK BEFORE YOU ACT!"
*If you have any questions, please contact Pratt’s compliance officer for more information*
The Athletic Training Department serves the varsity athletic teams during their NCAA-defined playing and practice seasons. Athletic Trainers work to provide the highest quality sports medicine services to all varsity athletes.
In order to try out for, or participate in, a varsity sport at Pratt Institute, every student must complete the required athletic training forms and complete a medical review on campus. The schedule for medical clearance will be communicated via sports coaches and posted in the Ratner Athletics Center and Henry Crown Field House.
All forms and medical documentation must be turned into the athletic trainer's office prior to the student being allowed to try out or practice.
If a student-athlete wishes to send hard copies of the above forms, please send directly to the Pratt Athletic sports medicine staff at the contact below. Any inquires or questions should also be directed to the sports medicine staff.
