BROOKLYN, N.Y. - November 3, 2018 - The Pratt Institute men's soccer team set a program record with three student-athletes that earned American Collegiate Athletic Association All-Conference recognition, as announced by the conference offices on Friday morning. The Cannoneer's three student-athletes recognized is the fourth most selections in the conference.
Earning ACAA Men's Soccer All-Conference honors, first-year goalkeeper Carter Boliek was named First Team All-Conference while senior defender Steven Morin and junior defender Kanav Nayyor were named to Second Team All-Conference.
In addition to Boliek's All-Conference nod, he was also awarded Defensive Player of the Year by the conference. In his first year as the black and yellow's starting goalkeeper, Boliek started 12 games for the Cannoneers and was able to lead the team to three victories and a shutout. During his 1019 minutes in net this season, Boliek made 83 saves, the most in a single season by a Pratt keeper since the program's relaunch in 2016.
Morin and Nayyor have been instrumental parts of Pratt's defense over the course of the season, helping the Canonneers' to a 3-10 record. The black and yellow's defense rose to the occasion in all three of their wins, holding teams to three total goals in those games.
The Pratt men's soccer team will return to action in 2019.
