Men's tennis releases upgraded 2013 schedule
BROOKLYN -- Pratt men's tennis has released its 2013 schedule, an upgraded slate featuring 10 matches, six against NCAA Division III foes.
In raising the overall number of matches from six a year ago to 10 in 2013, the Cannoneers open at home against John Jay College of the City University of New York Athletic Conference on Monday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. After a pair of Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference matches on the road, Pratt returns to Brooklyn on Wednesday, April 10, kicking off a three-match homestand against CCNY, another Division III opponent from the CUNYAC.
Following the homestand is a pair of away matches against Division III foes Yeshiva University and Lehman College. Pratt's regular season finale the comes at home against local rival St. Joseph's on April 29.
The HVMAC Tournament starts the following Saturday, May 4.
Pratt tied for third in last year's HVMAC Tournament after tying for first in the regular season standings. The team returns All-HVMAC selection Michael Steiner from a team that went 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the HVMAC.
