MADISON, NJ – The Pratt Institute men's tennis team fell to the Devils of Fairleigh Dickinson University at Florham by a score of 9-0 in non-conference play Sunday afternoon.
In No. 1 doubles, the tandem of Ben Erickson and Rongxin Zhang kept the match close, battled back and forth before dropping the match 8-6.
In No. 1 singles action, after losing the first set 6-0 to FDU's Rich Bennett, Erickson kept the second highly-competitive, ultimately falling by a score of 6-1, 6-4.
With the loss, the Cannoneers drop to 1-2 (1-0 HVIAC) on the season.
Pratt continues their season next Saturday, April 8, with a conference home contest against Webb Institute at 12:30 pm at the USTA National Tennis Center in Corona, NY.
