Cannoneers swept in tri-match to open 2018 season

FRANKLIN, MA – The Pratt Institute men's volleyball team opened their 2018 campaign with a pair of 3-0 losses at the Dean College tri-match on Sunday afternoon.

On the afternoon, Dean Liaw totaled 11 kills, and Kristopher Patton recorded 14 assists. Albi Marke added nine digs and a solo block on defense.

Match 1 | Pratt 0, Mount Ida 3: The Cannoneers struggled offensively, committing 11 hitting errors on 30 attacks, as they fell to the Mustangs of Mount Ida College 3-0 (25-9, 25-11, 25-15). Dean Liaw led Pratt with two kills, while Albi Marke recorded four digs.

Match 2 | Pratt 0, Dean College 3: Outside hitter Dean Liaw hit for nine kills on 27 attacks, and Kristopher Patton registered 11 assists in a 3-0 loss (25-8, 25-14, 25-16) to the Bulldogs of Dean College. The Bulldog's Diondre Charros led all players with 13 kills and six aces.

Up Next: The Cannoneers travel to Bronxville, NY for a tri-match featuring Dean College and host Sarah Lawrence. First serve is scheduled for 11:00 am.
