Pratt records straight-set victory over Sarah Lawrence

BROOKLYN – The Pratt Institute Cannoneers downed the Sarah Lawrence Gryphons in straight sets (25-17, 25-19, 25-20) on Friday evening in the ARC.

The Pratt victory, their third straight, evens their season mark at 7-7, while Sarah Lawrence falls to 0-13.

Dean Liaw once again led the Cannoneers offense, compiling 14 kills on 36 attempts and adding nine digs. Setter Kristopher Patton posted a double-double of 20 assists and 10 digs, while Uddhav Kedia contributed a career-best six service aces.

Trailing in the first set, Pratt would capitalize off of five consecutive Sarah Lawrence hitting errors, taking a 21-15 lead. A pair of Liaw kills would off the set 25-17.

Game two remained deadlocked at 15-15 when three-straight Kedia aces, coupled with kills from Liaw and Graham Rose, gave the Cannoneers a comfortable advantage. Rose's service ace would conclude the game, 25-19.

The Cannoneers would never trail in the third and deciding game as they forced 11 Sarah Lawrence errors en route to the 25-20 win.

UP NEXT – The Cannoneers conclude their 2018 season when they host the Hawks of Copper Union on Thursday, April 5, at the ARC. A 7:30 p.m. start time was announced.
