MIDDLETOWN, CT -- Pratt Institute's men's and women's track teams competed in Wesleyan College's Elmer Swanson Invitational.
In the men's 1,500-meter run, senior Kyle O'Brien finished with a time of four minutes, 57.53 seconds, good for 16th place. In the 200-meter dash, Akil Philip led the team with a time of 23.76 seconds, finishing fifth out of 16 runners. Philip placed third out of 13 runners in the 400-meter dash at 52.68 seconds.
On the women's side, Anni Morris-Swank led the Cannoneers finishing eighth out of 15 runners at 15.18 seconds. The freshman placed 12th out of 17 runners in the 200-meter dash at 30.92 seconds.
Fellow freshman Cory Marks paced a pair of Pratt participants in the discus with a distance of 16.15 meters. She finished seventh out of 11 throwers in the shot put at 7.16 meters.
The Cannoneers wrap up 2017 on Saturday at The College of New Jersey's Lions Invitational.
