Cannoneers close out season at Yale Springtime Invitational

NEW HAVEN, CT – The Pratt Institute track & field teams closed out their outdoor season on Sunday afternoon – competing at the Yale Springtime Invitational on the campus of Yale University.

Sprinter Akil Philip performed remarkably in the year's final meet, finishing 15th in the 200 meters and claiming a 10th place finish in the 400 meters. Pratt's distance specialist Dylan Cabral paced the Cannoneers in the 1500 meters, posting a time of 4:47, good for 19th place overall.

Perhaps the finest moment for the men's side was the placing of their 4x400 relay team as Philip, Cabral, Jason Chen, and Jashawn Richardson took 4th place with a time of 3:58.

For the women, Hannah Adams recorded another top finish in the 100 meters – finishing 15th overall in a field studded with Division I athletes. Peg Smith closed out her freshman campaign by registering a 5:38 time in the 1500, while Lolo Walker's 20th place showing in the 3000 meters gave coach Jessica Donohue much to look forward to next season.
