NEW YORK, NY – Amissa Epperson posted her second career triple-double and Anna Bryce had a program-record 14 steals as the Cannoneers of Pratt Institute defeated the Hawks of Cooper Union, 60-11, on Friday evening in non-conference play.
The result brings the Cannoneers' record to 8-12 overall.
Pratt's defense was dominant all evening, forcing the Hawks into 51 turnovers and collecting 44 steals – a new team record. The Cannoneers also controlled the glass, outrebounding Cooper Union by 65-38 margin.
In what may be the best all-around game of her career, Amissa Epperson registered 22 points, 13 rebounds, and a career-best 10 steals. Epperson would also reject nine shots, falling one block shy of the first quadruple-double in program history.
Senior guard Anna Bryce set the Cannoneers' single game record for steals, 14, while tallying 14 points and five assists in just 25 minutes. Emily Guerra grabbed 16 rebounds – one shy of her personal best – and added 12 points and eight steals. Kathy Neblett added a career-high 16 rebounds, including eight offensive.
UP NEXT – The Cannoneers conclude the regular season when the welcome the Lions of King's College to the ARC on Thursday, February 15. Aside from being senior night, a win over their conference rivals would assure Sade Jackson's team a place in the HVIAC conference tournament.
