BROOKLYN – Pratt Institute junior Amissa Epperson was named the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
A product of Jersey City, NJ, Epperson took home top honors after recording her second career triple-double in a 60-11 victory over Cooper Union.
Against the Hawks, Epperson finished with 22 points on 10-of-19 shooting, 13 rebounds, and 10 steals. Epperson also recorded nine blocks, falling one shy of registering the program's first-ever quadruple-double.
For the season, Epperson ranks in the top-5 in the conference in scoring (17.8) and rebounds (10.8) per contest. Also, her 4.3 blocks per game rank first in the HVIAC.
Epperson and the Cannoneers resume their season Thursday, February 15, when the welcome conference rival King's College to the ARC at 8:30pm. With a victory over the Lions, Pratt would secure their place in the upcoming HVIAC tournament.
