BROOKLYN, N.Y. - November 2, 2018 - The Pratt Institute women's soccer team had four student-athletes represented on the American Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Soccer All-Conference teams, announced by the conference offices on Thursday afternoon.
Pratt's four student-athletes sets a new program record for the amount of student-athletes recognized in one season, as Pratt Institute received the most student-athletes recognized on the second team, and tied for third with the most student-athletes honored overall among teams that compete in the ACAA.
Shields, a 3D Animation major at Pratt Institute,, earned her first ACAA All-Conference recognition as the sophomore posted a goal and an a assist for three points in her second season for the black and yellow. Shields' best game came in a late season match against Pine Manor College, when she scored a goal and had an assist to lead the Cannoneers to a 5-0 victory.
Lovegrove, a Fashion Design major, was an anchor for Pratt's defense, as she helped the Cannoneers finish their debut season in the ACAA on a three-game winning streak. Lovegrove and Pratt's defensive unit held opponents to 3.51 goals per game.
Dreher, a 3D Animation major at Pratt Institute, was instrumental in the Cannoneers' success this season, as she has recorded a shutouts, as well as sharing another shutout, to go along with 43 saves in eight games. Posting a record of 2-5 on the year, Dreher has been a rock for Pratt's defense this season, which ended their 2018 campaign holding their final three opponents to a combined total of one goal. During her time in goal for the black and yellow, Dreher had a hand in four shutouts.
MacDonald, a Communications Design - Art Direction major, posted four goals on the season, as well as leading the team in shots overall, as she earned her first ACAA All-Conference recognition. In the last weekend of MacDonald's collegiate soccer career, she totaled three goals, on ten shots, to help lead the Cannoneers to wins over Pine Manor and Yeshiva University.
