Brooke Severance Named Assistant Coach for Pratt Tennis

BROOKLYN-- Brooke Severance has joined the coaching staff of both the Pratt men's and women's tennis programs, the school announced Thursday.

"I am very excited to welcome Brooke to Pratt tennis," said head coach David Eddy. "Her experience as a championship-caliber collegiate player, deep knowledge of the game and positive attitude in teaching student-athletes will contribute to her success as a coach."

Prior to her appointment, Severance was a member of the Baruch College women's tennis team, where she helped the Bearcats post an overall 25-8 record during her two seasons, including a perfect 12-0 mark in CUNYAC conference play.

A CUNYAC Second Team All-Star in 2016, Severance helped Baruch collect their first conference championships since 1997, claiming top honors in 2015 and 2016. Severance was also a member of the program's first two trips to the NCAA Division III tournament.

A native of Patterson, NY, Severance holds a Bachelor's Degree in International and Intercultural Communications from Baruch College.
