QUEENS -- The Cannoneers improved to 4-0 on the season with a 7-2 win over Cooper Union Monday night in non-confernece women's tennis play.
The team of Whitney Mills and Gabriella Guerra improved to 3-0 on the year in No. 2 doubles play, beating Janet Butler and Catherine Go 8-5. In top doubles action, the tandem of Agata Jakubowska and Sarah Conant also moved to 3-0 on the season with an 8-1 win over Emily Adamo and Laura Quan.
In singles play, Jakubowska improved to 4-0, all in the No. 1 spot, with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Quan. Guerra, meanwhile, boosted her record to 3-0 with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Butler.
The Cannoneers open Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletics Confernece play on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the College of New Rochelle.
