QUEENS -- Pratt men's tennis fell to 0-2 on 2014 with an 8-1 loss to Cooper Union Sunday night at the USTA National Tennis Center in non-conference play.
Sophomore Fan Mo was victorious in his season debut, squeaking out an 11-9 win over Jordan Selig in No. 4 singles. Cooper won every other singles point convincingly, as Moritz Petre and Keshav Ramaswami played the next closest sets, each falling 10-4 in fifth and sixth singles, respectively. Playing in the top spot for the first time in 2014, Andrew Barkett dropped a 10-3 decision in No. 1 singles.
The Cannoneers return to play on Thursday, opening the team's Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference slate back at the USTA National Tennis Center against Vaughn College.
