KING'S POINT, NY -- Pratt Institute men's tennis fell to 5-6 with a 9-0 loss at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in non-conference play on Sunday at Brooks Stadium Courts.
Joshua Morgan was upended 6-1, 6-0 by Josh Levitas in No. 3 singles, and Shane Davis suffered a 6-1, 6-3 fifth singles setback to James Karas. Sergio Yarritu, Nick Minichiello, and Haotian Zhang dropped 6-0, 6-0 decisions in first, second, fourth singles, respectively.
USMMA captured all three doubles points in improving to 9-4 during the Mariners senior day. The loss drops Pratt to 5-6.
The Cannoneers return to the court on Saturday, playing host to Berkeley (NY) College in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at 2:00 before taking on the University of Scranton at 5:00 p.m. in a doubleheader at the ARC.
