BROOKLYN -- Pratt Institute captured the top four singles points and top two doubles flights in women's tennis' 6-3 win over Purchase College Sunday afternoon at the ARC.
Freshman Amanda Twu earned an 8-4 victory over Emma Yavel and teamed with senior Agata Jakubowska for an 8-5 win over Nastaja Stepec. In second singles, Jakubowska blanked Stepec 8-0.
Sophomore Melanie Kania knocked off Catherine Pasquale 8-2 in No. 3 singles and paired with Haddie Webster for an 8-4 win over Pasquale and Caroline Haldman. Webster, meanwhile, outlasted Abby Cuddy 9-8, 7-5 in No. 4 singles, leading the Cannoneers to the team's second win in as many tries.
At 2-0, Pratt returns to play on Saturday at Western Connecticut State at 1:00 p.m.
