Twu, the reigning Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year, teamed with Melanie Kania for an 8-5 win in No. 1 doubles. Playing No. 2 singles, Kania continued her hot streak to start the year by recording a dominant victory 6-0, 6-0.

In second doubles, Cory Marks paired with Maia Schlussel for an 8-1 rout of Antonia Delavera and Rani Samudrala. The aforementioned Cannoneers were both victorious in singles action, with Schlussel earning a 6-0, 6-2 win over Mackenzie Landman. After winning a close first set 6-4, Marks' mental game improved and, through better shot selection and precise serving, closed out Samudrala in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.
