Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Defeated by Clinton Hill Rivals, St. Joseph's, 3-1

NEW YORK, N.Y. - September 11, 2018 - Despite a late goal from junior, Audrey Howard, the Pratt Institute women's soccer team lost to their Clinton Hill rivals St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn), 3-1, Tuesday night at Randall's Island - Field #10.

St. Joseph's went into halftime with a 2-0 lead, thanks to Julia Lavelle's goal 12 minutes into the match, and a goal at the 40-minute mark from Deserae Sequeira.

It wasn't until the 70th minute when AC Shields had a shot on goal, which was knocked away by the Bears' goalie, only to bounce to Howard in the box who was able to score her first goal of the 2018 campaign.

The Cannoneers' deficit was cut to one but the momentum was short-lived, as St. Joseph's found the back of the net again one minute later, to seal the scoring for both sides.

Pratt goalkeeper, Courtney Dreher was incredible between the pipes Tuesday, finishing with a season-high 12 saves, as the Bears were on the attack all evening long. St. Joesph's out-shot Pratt, 19-5, for the game.

Up Next: Coach Stephanie Di Mari's team will host Sarah Lawrence College Friday (September 14) at Randall's Island - Field #10. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM.
