Match 1:
The Pratt Institute women's tennis team was defeated by SUNY Oneonta, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Heissan '63 Tennis Courts.
With the loss, Pratt suffers its first loss on the season, ending the program's four-match winning streak.
In doubles play, the Pride's best showing came from the No. 3 team of Isabel Campbell and Caroline Madden, who were bested, 8-5.
Despite winning the first set, 6-2, Amy Young fell to Danielle Swierczyna in the third singles slot, when she dropped the next two sets, 5-7, 6-10.
Match 2:
The Cannoneers bounced back in their second match of the day with a victory over SUNY Delhi, 9-0.
The top seeded doubles duo of Amanda Twu and Melanie Kania started the match with a win, 8-2.
In the No. 1 singles slot, Young fought off her Delhi opponent to hold on 7-5, 6-2. Pratt dominated the rest of singles play, dropping a total of three games.
Up Next: Pratt will be on the road on Saturday, September 22, to take on SUNY Purchase, as they look to start a new winning streak. First serve is scheduled for 10 AM.
