BROOKLYN, NY - The Pratt Institute's women's soccer team rolled to its first win of the season behind four goals from
Siena Sujitno's, defeating SUNY Old Westbury, 7-3 on Saturday morning.
Pratt scored early and often in the first half as Sujitno
(Toronto, Canada) scored her first of three goals in the half off an assist from
Grace Florence (Worthington, OH) to give the Cannoneers the 1-0 lead.
Just one minute later,
Anna Wilson (Corvallis, OR) scored her first goal of the season of another assist from Florence to give the Cannoneers a 2-0 lead.
Sujitno added her second goal of the game at the 14:44 mark and her third goal of the match at the 32:23 mark off an assist
Lara Parizek to extend Pratt's lead to 4-0.
Just 1:30 into the second half,
Riley Oram added her first goal of the season to up the lead to 5-0.
Pratt would add another goal at the 20 minute mark of the second half when
Ava Hunwick (Keller, TX) scored her first career goal off an assist from
Amelie Stoddard (Portland, OR).
With eight minutes remaining, Sujitno connected for her fourth goal of the game to give Pratt the 7-1 victory.
Casey O'Connor (Tupper Lake, NY) earned her first victory of the season in net, finishing with three saves.
Pratt returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Saint Elizabeth University at 6:30 pm at Randall's Island.
