IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Pratt Institute women's soccer team saw their three-game winning halted with a 4-1 road defeat at Immaculata University on Sunday afternoon. Sophomore Kat Thomsen scored the lone goal for the Cannoneers, who leveled their record at 3-3.
Immaculata (3-6-1) opened the scoring on a Hanna Phillips goal in the 15th minute and the game remained 1-0 at the intermission.
The Mighty Macs, future Atlantic East Conference foes of the Cannoneers beginning next season, built a 2-0 lead 10 minutes into the second stanza before Thomsen scored her eighth goal of the season just three minutes later to pull the black-and-gold within one again.
But the hosts tacked on insurance goals in the 78th and 89th minutes to distance themselves.
Emma Gaspari made 12 saves in goal in a losing effort. Thomsen, Siena Sujitno and Ava Hunwick each finished with three shots apiece with Amelie Stoddard recording a pair of shots and Emma Pratt firing a shot.
Pratt continues a three-game road stand heading to Kean University on Wednesday, October 4 for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
