PRATT GROUP FITNESS

Pratt Rec Group fitness classes are dedicated to providing the Pratt community with access and opportunity to the activities, art forms, experiences, and exercise communities that they explore and enjoy. All members with valid entry to the ARC are eligible to attend a group fitness class. Classes are offered on the Brooklyn location (ARC and varied areas across Main Campus) and in Manhattan (Pratt Manhattan Campus). 

Group Classes are offered during the Fall and Spring Semesters - All experiences are welcomed and encouraged to join!
 

GROUP FITNESS CLASSES 

30 MINUTE HIIT-IT!
An express HIIT class focusing on a full-body workout using bodyweight, movements, and light weights. Perfect for the student or on-campus Staff looking for a quick workout during their lunch break.   

ABC
An absolute body conditioning course focusing on Abs, Butt, and Core. This class is meant to challenge you through high intensity workouts, stations, and a use of a variety of body weight exercises to sculpt, lift, and define your ABCs!  

BODY ART®
A class built around a functional training system that balances your strength, flexibility and mental concentration. Body Art challenges you to equalize your powerful, dynamic energy with passive relaxation.

*BOXING BOOTCAMP
A full-body workout that combines meditation, shadow boxing, heavy bag work, cardio, conditioning, and body weight exercises for strength, cardio, mindfulness, and overall personal empowerment. 
*Participants required to bring their own boxing gloves

CORE FLOW YOGA
This course blends all of the elements of Yoga for a core-focused workout on building core strength and flexibility.  

GROOVE 3®
A new trend in the world of blending dance and fitness, Groove 3 gives you an experience of choreography, empowerment, dancing, movement, and FUN! And yes, it's quite the workout! 

MINDFUL FLOW YOGA
This yoga class steadily builds its pace and intertwines mindful practices withing the sequences of yoga postures and poses. 

MINDFULNESS MEDITATION
This class explores mindfulness meditation through silence, mantra and movement practices. Mindfulness has to do with wakefulness, compassion and wisdom. It is a way of being and a way of seeing that has profound implications for understanding the nature of our own minds, our bodies and for living life as if it really mattered. 

POWER PILATES
Join this unique course that blends the world of strength and resistance training with Pilates. 

POWER YOGA
This course gives focuses on the movement and progression of poses, stretches, and postures with heavy emphasis on strength and flexibility. 

STRETCH AND RELAX
A course that focuses on recovery, mindfulness, and inner-self. 

SPIN®
Come experience an amazing workout journey utilizing indoor cycling for cardio conditioning and strength with the support of music themes, social events, and community. 

WEIGHTS AND HIIT
This popular course incorporates a combination of cardio, strength-based moves, plyometric movements, power lifts, and functionality exercises through an array of equipment and stations for a full-body workout. Focused on improving endurance, strength, and overall fitness, this class is a great way to add variety to your workouts. 

YOGA FOR THE MIND
This class utilizes a slow-paced practice of yoga combining gentle poses, breath work, and stretching through flowing sequences with the intent of de-stressing, mindful refinement, and relaxation.  

ZUMBA®
This fitness program uses the rhythms of Latin music and various dance disciplines such as Cha-Cha, Salsa, Mambo, Calypso, Belly Dancing, etc..., for movement, cardio, and overall fun.
