Stephanie Savino

Steph Savino heads into her 2nd season as head coach for the Pratt Women’s Soccer team, and 4th season with the program. “It has been a rewarding experience coaching these extraordinary student-athletes over the past three years.” Savino said. “I am looking forward to my 4th campaign with the program as every year is an opportunity to improve and develop strong soccer players and great individuals (on and off the pitch). For the Fall 2019 season, we have returning players and new talent joining the squad, and I am excited to see what they will bring to the pitch.”

In her first season as head coach, the Cannoneers finished the fall season with a record of 3-7-1, finishing the back half of the season undefeated.  Under Savino’s leadership, four players were named to the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) All-Conference teams for their outstanding performance throughout the season.

In the 2017-2018 season, the squad came away with some strong victories and opportunities for improvement.

In her 2016-2017 season, athletics at Pratt experienced a re-birth, as the women’s soccer program underwent its inaugural campaign with the Institution.

Savino is currently pursuing her master's degree in Recreation and Sport Science, through Ohio University in partnership with United Soccer Coaches. She also holds a U.S. Soccer National C License and her Advanced National Diploma through United Soccer Coaches. She is a member of United Soccer Coaches and continues to round out her coaching certification and experience on an annual basis.

Away from the pitch, Savino is a Director at Major League Soccer, focusing on the Adidas relationship with youth players and the MLS retail business for sporting goods and soccer specialty channels. Additionally, she manages U.S. Soccer’s retail business and oversees in-store activation geared towards fanwear.

Savino, a graduate from Siena College, earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management, while also competing as a dual-sport NCAA Division I athlete on the Women’s Soccer and Lacrosse teams.
