Travis Blair

Travis Blair was appointed as the head coach of the women's soccer program at Pratt Institute in April 2023 and is currently entering his third season at the helm.

In two seasons with the Cannoneers, he has helped cultivate four All-Conference selections – Kat Thomsen, Siena Sujitno (2x), Anna Wilson – and steered the team to back-to-back conference tournament appearances.

Before arriving at Pratt, Blair served as the assistant coach at Concordia College (NCAA Division II), where he played a pivotal role in the team's success in the highly competitive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). In 2020, he was elevated to head coach during Concordia's final year before the institution's closure.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Blair has an extensive background in youth soccer development, having worked with premier clubs such as Downtown United Soccer Club, Asphalt Green, and QuickStrike.

Blair earned a bachelor’s degree in European History from Wheaton College (MA) in 2015 where he was a highly decorated member of the men’s soccer team and achieved All-American status. Blair helped lead Wheaton to their last NCAA Division III Championship appearances in 2013 and 2014 and their last NEWMAC Tournament Championship in 2013.

Finishing his career with 50 goals and 19 assists – a mark that still stands second all-time in goals and points (119) in Wheaton program history – Blair was a four-time All-NEWMAC honoree (three on the first team) and a two-time NCSAA First Team All-Region selection. In addition to garnering NSCAA All-American accolades as a senior, Blair was named Chad Yowell Male Athlete of the Year.

Following his collegiate career, Blair transitioned to the professional ranks, joining the American Soccer League (ASL) where he played for Long Island Express and Philadelphia Fury. His professional career was marked by two championship titles and individual success, including being named ASL Finals MVP in 2016. He later joined New York Athletic Club in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) for the 2019 season, finishing among the top 10 goal scorers nationally and earning All-Conference and All-Northeast XI honors.

Coach Blair holds a U.S. Soccer D License and continues to leverage his extensive playing and coaching experience to develop the next generation of student-athletes at Pratt Institute.
