Dr. Ellis has a special interest in nonsurgical orthopedics for patients and athletes throughout their lives. She has experience in the treatment of orthopedic injuries at all ages, interests and ability levels. She is able to provide a full spectrum of orthopedic care including diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, fracture management, minimally invasive procedures for chronic orthopedic and sports injuries and regenerative non-surgical orthopedics.
 
A graduate of Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, she completed her family medicine residency at East Carolina University - Vidant Medical Center in North Carolina. Subsequently, she completed her fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she served as a team physician for the NC Courage and NCFC professional soccer teams, UNC- Chapel Hill varsity sports teams and various high schools in North Carolina. She has published numerous textbook resources, is currently involved in research with UNC, and has lectured nationally on various topics in both family medicine and sports medicine.

A lifelong athlete and former Division I lacrosse player, Dr. Ellis currently enjoys scuba diving, hang gliding, and is currently working towards her pilot license.
