PROVIDENCE, RI -- Led by sophomore Ari Grant's fifth double-double of the season, Pratt improved to 4-6 with a 65-55 win at the Rhode Island School of Design in non-confernece men's basketball play Sunday afternoon.
Grant totaled game-highs of 19 points and 18 rebounds in getting Pratt into the win column for the first time in 2014. The Cannoneers took a 31-26 lead into halftime and outscored RISD 34-31 in the second half.
Freshman Mehmet Dognata set a career high with 17 points, and forward Aaron Nininger added 10 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. Nicholas Lensander added eight boards, and point guard Sam Peterson added seven points, four assists and three rebounds.
Pratt starts a string of four straight Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Confernece (HVIAC) games on Tuesday at home against St. Joseph's at 7:30 p.m.
