BROOKLYN, NY -- The Knights sped off on a 20-1 first half run, keying Berkeley College's 87-21 win over Pratt Institute Wednesday night in the Cannoneers season finale.
In his final college game, Pratt senior Sam Peterson led the Cannoneers with two steals, while forward Nicholas Lensander paced the team with five points. Fellow forward Aaron Nininger led the Cannoneers with seven rebounds.
A day after he raced 60 feet in depositing the game-winning layup, a Peterson lay-in on Wednesday tied the game at 2-2, but Berkeley soon sprinted away from the Cannoneers. Twelve Knights scored in the first half as Berkeley forced 19 Pratt first-half turnovers in going into halftime leading 42-9.
Berkeley held Pratt to 20 percent shooting in the second as both teams finished their seasons with an 87-21 decision.
With the loss, Pratt ends its season at 6-11 and 1-5 in HVIAC play.
