BROOKLYN -- Pratt Institute improved to 2-1 thanks to an efficient double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds on 10-12 shooting from Tytus Millikan in Monday night's 84-36 non-conference win over Webb.
The sophomore needed only 18 minutes to log the double-double, adding three assists, no turnovers, and a steal. Ethan McClure also threw in a season-high in 18 minutes, totaling 17 points on 6-13 shooting and adding eight rebounds. Mehmet Doganata rounded out three Cannoneers in double figures with 10 points on 5-11 shooting, as Pratt shot a commendable 46 percent (37-80) from the field.
For Webb, Brian Mills led the way with 12 points, shooting 4-6 from the field.
Millikan set the tone for a long night for the Webbies by hitting his first four shots in giving Pratt a 10-4 lead just 3:34 into the contest. Mills made it a 12-10 game at the 15:00 mark, but Millikan answered with back-to-back field goals in the next minute, and consecutive Doganata layups ensured Pratt stayed on top by 10 or more from the 10:48 mark of the first half for the rest of the night.
An Andrew Yaglenski jumper beat the first half buzzer in upping the lead to 48-24, and the Cannoneers limited Webb to 12 points on 20 percent (4-20) shooting in the second half, going on to an 84-36 victory.
For the night, Pratt held Webb to 26 percent (11-43) shooting from the floor and just seven percent (1-13) shooting from three-point range, out-rebounding Webb 55-36.
Pratt returns to play on Friday at Sarah Lawrence College.
