NEW YORK -- Pratt Institute fell to 5-5 on the season with a 3-0 loss to Yeshiva in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's volleyball play.
Cannoneers sophomore David Cutler led all players with both 10 kills and 22 digs, but Pratt hit just -.037 as a team. Fellow outside hitter Alex Arsovski added six kills as Pratt slipped to .500 on the season.
Yeshiva scored the first four points before a pair of Pratt attack errors opened up a 13-3 Maccabees lead in Game 1. A Chris Fantin ace sparked a 6-0 Cannoneers run late in the frame, but Yeshiva held on for a 25-15 win.
An Arsovski kill brought Pratt to within 6-8 early in the second set, but the Maccabees closed strong. A pair of Jorge Dabah service aces highlighted a 7-0 run that sealed a 25-16 Yeshiva win in Game 2.
The Maccabees later built upon what was only a two-point lead at 10-12 lead early in Game 3. Outside hitter Tuvia Marks threw in three kills in a 9-2 Yeshiva run that led to the hosts 25-17 victory.
Pratt hit only -.037 for the day, while Yeshiva totaled an attack percentage of .208.
The Cannoneers return to play after spring break on March 26 at local rival St. Joseph's (BK) at 7:00 p.m.
