NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Junior forward Anna Bryce (Troy, NY/Albany Academy) registered her seventh career double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds but Pratt Institute could not overcome a first-half deficit and fell to the College of New Rochelle, 65-41, in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon.
After falling behind 31-20 at the intermission, the Cannoneers watched the College of New Rochelle shoot 15-for-30 in the second half to put the game out of reach. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Cannoneers, who fell to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in HVIAC play.
Freshman center Amissa Epperson (Jersey City, NJ/McNair Academic) added 11 points and five rebounds for Pratt, while junior guard Carol Cai (West Covena, CA/John A. Rowland) added 14.
Caitlin Harrison had 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Blue Angels and Jasmine Brandon added 19. The victory improved the College of New Rochelle's record to 8-11 overall and the Blue Angels remain unbeaten in HVIAC play at 4-0.
UP NEXT: Pratt returns to the Activities Resource Center to host Sarah Lawrence College on Tuesday, February 2 at 8:30 p.m. The matchup is the first of five consecutive home games for the Cannoners to close out the 2015-16 regular season.
