GLEN COVE, NY -- Pratt Institute set a program record with its 11th win, rounding out 2016 at 11-4 with a 3-1 (25-12, 25-19, 11-25, 25-23) win at Webb Institute Thursday night in both teams' season finales.
Junior David Cutler led all players with 28 kills on 49 attacks, hitting a scorching .490 on the match and adding 17 digs. Andreas Haji-Georgi added five kills and 10 digs.
Pratt's senior class turned in stellar efforts in the victory. Middle hitter Matthew Valentine tied for team-high honors with two service aces to go along with 11 kills and a .429 attack percentage. Chris Fantin chipped in with six digs, a kill, and an ace, and libero Will Wong totaled 12 digs as the Cannoneers bested Webb for the second time this year.
Setter Brandon Ryan dished out 35 assists in the win, and fellow sophomore Haven Gordon contolled the net in adding four solo blocks.
The 11 wins eclipses last season's 10-win effort in 2015's 10-6 campaign.
