PURCHASE, NY – Despite junior center Amissa Epperson recording 21 points and nine rebounds, the Cannoneers fell to the Purchase Panthers 94-34 in a non-conference matchup Saturday afternoon.
"We couldn't gain any momentum offensively or defensively," head coach Sade Jackson said. "It's tough to win a game when you're down two starters, but I think a lot of our players received valuable minutes, which will end up helping us later in the season. From now until our next game, we have a good amount of time to touch up on a couple things and find a rhythm going into December."
Highlights of the game for the Cannoneers include Idalia Kaplan's career-high seven assists to go along with 13 rebounds. Kathy Neblett led all players with 14 rebounds.
