QUEENS -- Ari Grant led all players with 24 points to go along with 13 rebounds, but the host Vaughn College boasted six players in double figures in its 116-57 Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win over the Pratt on Thursday at Elmcor Gym.
Grant shot 11-23 from the floor and added two blocks in 40 minutes.
A larger Warriors team controlled the glass, outrebounding the Cannoneers 72-33. Carlos Montes came off the bench for a double-double of 14 points and a game-best 14 rebounds in 23 minutes.
For Pratt, Andrew Yaglenski added 15 points and five rebounds, and Bubby Vernon chipped in with 13 points and four boards.
Grant closes his Pratt career with 994 points, 670 rebounds, 130 steals, and 116 blocked shots. He finishes his final season as the leading rebounder in the HVIAC with 15 per game and top shot blocker at 2.7 rejections per game. His 21.9 a game scoring average ranks second leaguewide, as do his three steals.
The Cannoneers close 2016-17 at 6-11 and in a three-way tie for fifth place at 2-6 in HVIAC play.
