Men's Soccer Falls to New Rochelle, 5-0

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – October 16, 2018 - The Pratt Institute men's soccer team dropped its match to the College of New Rochelle Tuesday evening at Flowers Park, 5-0.

With the defeat, the Cannoneers fall to 3-9, while the Blue Angels improve to 7-5.

In net, Pratt's Carter Boliek registered two saves, while his counterpart, Elijah Robinson finished with five saves, as the Blue Angels out-shot the Cannoneers 15-6.

New Rochelle got off to a quick start; with goals in the 7th and 9th minute to give the hosts a 2-0 lead. Pratt was held to one shot, and one corner kick in the first frame.

The second half was more of the same fast start, as a flurry of goals from the Blue Angels, in the 53rd, 54th, and 61st minutes, left the Cannoneers in a 5-0 deficit. Pratt recorded five shots in the second half, and tightened up their defense in the final 39 minutes to keep the score at 5-0.

Up Next: The Cannoneers will look to get back to their winning ways as they play their final home game of the season, Friday October 19, against Clinton Hill rival, St. Joseph's. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:00 PM at Aviator Field #1.
