BROOKLYN, N.Y. - September 4, 2018 - The Pratt Institute women's volleyball team dropped their home opener on Tuesday evening to Merchant Marine in three sets at the Pratt ARC.
The Cannoneers were unable to take a game, losing sets 25-14, 25-23, and 25-15.
With the loss, Pratt moves to 1-1, while the Mariners improve to 2-0.
Freshman setter Avery Toomes had a strong game for the Cannoneers, with 16 assists and four digs.
Right side Madeline Markley lead the team with seven kills, and hit .300 for the match, as well as having a team-high five digs.
