Women's Basketball Dominates King's 62-32

BROOKLYN, NY - The Pratt Institute's women's basketball team (2-3) rolled to its second win of the season with a convincing 62-32 over the king's College on Thursday evening.

Beverlee Caraway (Pryor, OK) paced the Cannoneers with a season high 20 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Emily Guerra (Babylon, NY) notched her third double-double of the season, finishing with 14 points, 11 rebounds, five steals and five assists. Idalia Kaplan (Seattle, WA) also finished with a season high 13 points and eight assists.

Pratt opened the game by scoring 15 of the first 16 points and held King's to a season low three points in the first quarter. This marked the lowest point total in a quarter Pratt in the last three years.

The Cannoneers held King's to under 10 points in three of the four quarters. They also held the Lions to just 15.4% shooting from the floor and forced 26 turnovers, a season high.

Pratt led the entire game and by as many as 31 in the fourth quarter, before taking the contest by 30.

Pratt returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Cheyney University of Pennsylvania for a 1 pm tip.
