BROOKLYN, NY - The Pratt Institute's women's volleyball team (0-3, 0-0 HVIAC) dropped a pair of closes matches to Buffalo State and NYU on Saturday afternoon.
In the first match, the Cannoneers fell in a thrilling five-set match, 3-2 (25-16, 12-15, 25-22, 16-25, 4-15).
Badesim KubakÂ
(Istanbul, Turkey/ITU Ekrem Eliginkan) finished the match with 17 assists and two service aces while freshman
Elizabeth Hannah (Tampa, Fl./Academy at the Lakes) added seven kills and two service aces.
In the second match, the Cannoneers fell to host NYU, 3-0Â (18-25, 21-25, 19-25). Â
Avery ToomesÂ
(Houston, Tx./Lutheran South Academy) led the way against NYU, finishing with eight digs, seven assists and two service aces.
Madeline MarkleyÂ
(Minneapolis, Mn./Washburn) added a team high six kills and a block.
Pratt returns to action on Thursday for its home open when it hosts Rutgers-Newark in the ARC at 7:30 pm.
