Men's Soccer Falls to NJCU

BROOKLYN, NY - The Pratt Institute's men's soccer team (0-2-1) fell in a Wednesday evening matchup to New Jersey City University, 9-1.

Within the first seven minutes of the game, goal keeper Carter Boliek (Fayetteville, NC/Fayetteville Academy) notched four saves including two at point blank range to keep the match scoreless. 

The match remained scoreless until the 35th minute when NJCU converted for back to back goals in under a minute to take a 2-0 lead.

With 30 minutes remaining in the match, Juan Gomez (Miami, Fl./American Heritage) put home a penalty kick, his second of the season to get Pratt on the board.

NJCU connected for seven goals in the second half, taking the contest 9-1.

Pratt combined to finish the match with 13 saves in net.

The Cannoneers return to action on Saturday when it travels to Five Towns College for a 12 pm kickoff.
