BROOKLYN, NY- The Pratt Institute's women's volleyball team (7-5) rolled to a 3-0 tri-match sweep of King's NY and Cooper Union on Sunday afternoon.
In the first match of the day, the Cannoneers defeated King's in straight sets, 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-21).

The Cannoneers came out strong in the first set, winning 11 of the first 13 points. The lead ballooned to as much as 12 in the set, which ended up being the final margin, 25-13.
The second set went back and forth with the match tied at 14 midway through the set. Leading 15-14, Pratt won seven of the next eight points to open up a 22-15 advantage. With a 22-16 lead, the Cannoneers took the final three points to win the set, 25-16.
With King's leading 16-15 in the third set, Pratt won five of the next six points to take a 20-17 lead. Despite King's getting within 22-21, the Cannoneers took the final three points to win the set 25-21 and take the match 3-0.
The second match of the day was dominated by Pratt, downing Cooper Union 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-7).
Rose Moon (Santa Fe, NM) finished with eight kills and three digs while
Amy Jia (Farmington, CT) added seven assists and a career high six service aces.
Pratt used runs of 8-0 and 5-0 to lead wire to wire and take the set 25-23.
Following an easy 26-15 second set win, Pratt dominated the third set. Toomes served seven straight winners to open the set and give Pratt a 7-0 advantage. Leading 11-4, Jia served six straight points including three aces to blow the set open at 17-4. The Cannoneers closed out the set 25-7 by winning the final five points and taking the match 3-0.
Pratt returns to action on Thursday when it travels to Cairn University for a 7:30 pm start.
