BROOKLYN, NY - The Pratt Institute's women's basketball team (6-10) rolled to its third straight win with a dominating, 68-24 victory over Davis College on Saturday afternoon.
Emily Guerra (Babylon, NY) led all scorers with 22 points, 10 rebounds and five steals.
Idalia Kaplan (Seattle, WA) added a season high 19 rebounds while
Sophie Bischoff (Durham, NC) finished with a season high 20 points, nine rebounds and three blocks.
Pratt came storming out of the gate in the first quarter, scoring the first 12 points to open up a 12-0 lead six minutes in. The Cannoneers would grow the lead to 14 as it took a 21-7 lead into the second period.
The second quarter was dominated by Pratt as it held Davis to just one point. Pratt outscored Davis 16-1 to take a commanding 29 point lead into halftime. The Cannoneers ended the quarter on a 13-0 run.
Pratt scored the first six points of the third quarter to extend its run to 19-0 and take a 43-8 lead. The Cannoneers would end the quarter on a 13-7 run to take a 56-15 advantage into the final 10 minutes of action.
In the fourth quarter, Pratt managed to grow the lead to as many as 50, the largest lead to date this season. Pratt would end up taking the game by 44, its largest margin of victory on the year.
The Cannoneers held Davis to a season low 17% from the floor and 0-13 from three-point range. Davis also committed 28 turnovers.
The Cannoneers return to action on Sunday when it hosts Albany Pharmacy on Senior Day at 12 pm.
