Turnbull Turns in Triple-Double in Senior Night Win

BROOKLYN, NY - King Turnbull recorded his first career triple-double in his final collegiate game as the Pratt Institute's men's basketball team (15-9) dominated Cooper Union in its season finale, 98-53 on Friday evening.

Playing in his final game on Senior Night, Turnbull (Houston, TX) turned in a career night, finishing game with 16 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists. The 17 rebounds and 10 assists are both season highs.

Griffin Levine (Dallas, TX) added a game high 27 points, six rebounds and five assists while John Delgado (Queens, NY) had a career high 15 points.

Cooper Union scored eight of the first 11 points to open the game as it took an 8-3 lead two minutes into the contest. With Cooper leading 13-10, Pratt ran off a 16-3 run over a four minute span to take a 26-16 lead.

The Cannoneers continued to dominate the second part of the first half as it used a 13-2 run to up the lead to 39-20 with 4:54 remaining. Over the final five minutes, Pratt outscored Cooper Union by three to take a 52-30 lead into the halftime break.

Leading 52-33 early in the second half, Pratt ran off a 16-3 run to open up a 32 point lead, its largest in the game. The Cannoneers continued to grow the lead as it led by as many as 44 with just under eight minutes remaining in regulation.

With 5:52 remaining, Turnbull, two assists shy of double-digits, dished the ball to Ace Bibbs (Philadelphia, PA) on back to back plays, resulting in four transition points to give Turnbull the triple-double.

Pratt's lead with grow to as many as 48 over the final five minutes before taking the contest, 98-53.

The Cannoneers knocked down 15 three-pointers and recorded 61 rebounds. On the defensive end, Pratt held Cooper Union to just 21.9% shooting from the floor.

The 15 wins mark the most since the 1978-79 season.
