BROOKLYN, NY - The Pratt Institute's women's basketball season opens the 2021-22 campaign on Friday when it travels to the College of Mount Saint Vincent for a 6 pm tip off.
Pratt returns five players including two starters from the 2019-20 season,
Sophie Bischoff and
Kinako Miyake. Â
Bischoff was a key member for the Cannoneers in 2019-20, starting in all 20 games and averaging 9.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.55 blocks per game.  Miyake played in 16 games and averaged 4.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.
Pratt is looking to build off the 2019-20 season where it won seven games, tied for the most wins over the last six seasons.
Head Coach Brandon Rivera brought in 10 newcomers who will look to make an immediate impact. Â
Katy O'Connor a graduate transfer from Wesleyan University, started in 24 games and averaged 7.9 points and 9 rebounds per game her senior year, while also being a captain.
Mount Saint Vincent, a member of the Skyline Conference, is coming off a 14-11 season in 2019-20.
The game marks the first contest between Pratt and Mount Saint Vincent and will be the first game for the Cannoneers in 626 days after the 2020-21 season was canceled due to COVID-19.
