Golub's Career Day Lifts Cannoneers to Road Win at Centenary

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - The Pratt Institute's men's basketball team (4-8) used a career game from Daniel Golub to earn its fourth win of the season, 76-71 at Centenary University on Saturday afternoon.

In his first game since December 11, Daniel Golub carried the Cannoneers with a career day, finishing with 25 points on 10-18 from the floor, 13 rebounds, and 2 steals.  The 25 points and 13 rebounds were both career highs.

Seth Bratcher added 16 points and 6 rebounds while Cameron Hatcher and Patrick O'Gorman combined for 27 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds.

The game was very evenly matched as there was 14 lead changes and neither team led by more than seven throughout the game.

The first half was closely contested as the largest led by each team was four.  Pratt ended the half with a last second jumper by O'Gorman to take a 30-29 lead into the break.

Both offenses picked up in the second half as 39 points were scored in the first 10 minutes.  Leading 57-56, Pratt scored the next six points to up its lead to seven, its largest of the game with 6:34 remaining in regulation.

The Cyclones clawed its way back to get within 70-68 with 1:12 remaining.  With 46 seconds remaining, O'Gorman nailed a clutch three-pointer to open up a five point lead.  Pratt connected on three of its final four free throw attempts in the last 30 seconds to hold on for the five-point win.

Pratt returns to action on Monday when it hosts Medgar Evers College at 6 pm.
