NEW YORK – The Pratt Institute women's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision to William Paterson University on a wet evening at Randall's Island.
Pratt falls to 7-5 overall while William Paterson improves to 2-9-5.
The visitors got on the board early on Brianna De La Cruz's goal six minutes in. Gianna Labiento scored in the 13th minute for a 2-0 lead and Giovanna Stull put in a late score just before the break for a 3-0 lead at half.
William Paterson padded their lead with a pair of goals in the second half and finished with a 17-2 shot edge for the contest.
Katherine Thomsen and Siena Sujitno both recorded the lone shots for Pratt. Emma Gaspari finished with three saves in goal.
Pratt faces another New Jersey Athletic Conference foe on Sunday, October 23 taking on New Jersey City University in a road contest starting at 1 p.m.
