NEW YORK – Kaila Rodriguez scored six minutes in to give Pratt an early advantage, but the women's soccer team suffered a 9-1 home loss to the City College of New York on Tuesday afternoon at Randall's Island Field 10.
Pratt sees their record level at 7-7 overall, CCNY improves to 7-2-1.
Rodriguez fired a ball from near the right touch line at a tough angle that went over the goalie and off the far post and in for her third goal of the season.
The visitors equalized the game in the 13th minute of the first of Skylar Parker's four goals. MacKenzie Moreno scored the go-ahead goal in the 36th minute and Parker struck again in the 40th minute for a 3-1 halftime lead.
CCNY scored in the opening minute of the second stanza and finished with six goals in the frame.
Katherine Thomsen recorded the other shot for the Cannoneers and picked up an assist on Rodriguez' strike. Emma Gaspari made 12 saves in goal.
Pratt wraps up the regular season hosting Yeshiva University on Sunday, October 30 at Metropolitan Oval at 6:30 p.m.
