BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Theo Goldman scored two goals, including the equalizer, to help the Pratt Institute men's soccer team rally from a two-goal deficit to pick up a 3-3 draw with York College on Saturday morning at Aviator Field.
Goldman opened the scoring 10 minutes in with a beautiful strike on a breakaway. But after leading 25 minutes, York would score three times in the final 10 minutes of the half to take a 3-1 lead into the intermission.
Spencer Giuliano brought the gold-and-black within one in the 60th minute scoring off a set piece from a corner. Another corner kick in the 67th minute saw the equalizer off Goldman's foot – his team-leading fifth goal of the season.
Both teams went back and forth furiously over the final 20 minutes and combined for 10 shots looking for the go-ahead goal, but settled for a tie.
York finished with a 21-12 shot advantage, but many were off target and only seven coming on goal. Pratt earned a 6-4 edge in corners.
Bryan Hong-Dominguez assisted on both second-half goals. Goldman fired off eight shots to lead the Pratt attack. Dimitrios Papagiannakopolous made four saves in goal.
The Cannoneers conclude their 2022 campaign with a 1-12-3 record. York picks up their first tie of the season and moves to 2-8-1.
