RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Sophomore Kylie Grant posted her second double-double in as many games finishing with 16 points and 13 rebounds as the Pratt Institute women's basketball team fell to the College of Mount Saint Vincent, 71-34, on Saturday afternoon.
Grant also flirted with a triple-double again, this time swiping a game-high seven steals to go along with three assists. Natalie Graf chipped in six points and three board and Victoria Liu added five points in 13 minutes off the bench.
CMSV (2-0) placed four players in double figures led by Kira Villegas and Amber Been who had 16 points each.Â
After a Graf three-pointer pulled Pratt to within three, 8-5, five minutes in, the Dolphins scored 14 unanswered and distanced themselves for good. Grant would score eight points on 4-of-9 shooting in the third quarter, the Cannoneers best offensive frame of the contest.
Pratt (0-2) continues a seven-game road stand on Monday, November 14, traveling to Manhattanville College for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
