Women's Basketball to Play Salisbury in 1st Round of C2C Tournament

BROOKLYN, NY - The Pratt Institute's women's basketball team will take on Salisbury University in the first round of the Coast-To-Coast (C2C) Tournament on Thursday at UC Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz, California.

The Cannoneers finished the season with a 5-13 record and earned the 6 seed in the tournament.  Salisbury finished with a 19-5 record and earned the 3 seed.  The winner of the game will take on the number 2 seed and host UC Santa Cruz on Friday.  The Championship game will take place on Saturday afternoon with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

This will mark the first time the two schools have met and will also be Pratt's first ever trip to the C2C Tournament.

Acting Head Coach Alyssa Parsons is looking forward to the opportunity for postseason play. "We are extremely excited about the opportunity to head to Santa Cruz and compete in the C2C Tournament. Our team has done a great job of continuing to get better with every practice and game. They are focused and prepared to play with the best teams in our conference." 

The Cannoneers will look to bounce back from its regular season finale loss to Yeshiva University on Tuesday night, 66-52.  Salisbury ended the regular season with a 76-62 loss to Christopher Newport.
