BROOKLYN, NY - The Pratt Institute's men's tennis team (6-5) earned two wins over Saint Elizabeth University and the Webb Institute to end the regular season.
On Thursday, the Cannoneers downed Saint Elizabeth University at the USTA, 7-2 on Thursday.
Mehul Bhargava and
Ryan Nelsen were victorious at first doubles, winning 8-0. Â The tandem of
Cole Rudy and
Matthew Stachura earned the win at second doubles, 8-4.
Bhargava rolled in his first singles match, 10-0 while Nelsen won 10-1 at second singles. Johnny Xei earned the win at third singles, 10-8.
Stachura won convincingly at fourth singles, 10-0 while
Reilly Bair earned an 8-6 win at fifth doubles.
On Saturday, Pratt defeated the Webb Institute for the second time this season, 8-1.
Bhargava and Nelsen earned another win at first doubles, 8-6. Rudy and Stachura shutout their opponent at second doubles, 8-0 while
Jack Jiang and
Thomas Klebe earned the win at third doubles, 8-5.
Bhargava earned the come-from-behind win at first singles, winning 2-6, 6-2, 10-8.  Nelsen was victorious at second singles, 6-0, 6-4.
Rudy cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win at fourth singles. Â
Reilly Bair earned the win at fifth singles 6-0, 6-4 while Jiang earned the shutout at six singles, 6-0, 6-0.
Pratt finished out the season next weekend when it travels to Mary Washington University to take part in the C2C Tournament.
