The Women's Volleyball team notched win number two in as many games, defeating Rutgers-Newark, 3-1.
In the first set, Pratt trailed 20-18 before scoring seven of the last eight points to secure the win. The momentum continued for the Cannoneers in the second set until Rutgers-Newark took five out seven points to take a 24-23 lead before winning the set 27-25. After trailing 17-14 in set 3, the Cannoneers took control, winning the next nine points before winning the set 25-20. Set number four would see Pratt run away with it. After a 12-12 score, Pratt would score nine of the next 13 points en route to a 25-19 victory.
Senior
Rose Moon and Sophomore
Josie Johnson led the Cannoneers with 11 kills a piece. Moon also contributed five aces.
Gabby Genduso had a game-high 32 assists, and Senior
Deanna Colondona led the defense with 23 digs.
Women's Volleyball returns to action on September 9th and 10th as they travel to play in the North Country Classic at SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Canton for a four game set.
